Pumba

small paws, big impact

Pumba was a little pup who left a huge impression on everyone she met. From tiny mice to big St. Bernards, she was a friend to them all. Pumba had 2 loves in her life: her poppa and car rides. She didn't care if they were just going to check the mail or going on a road trip; as long as the windows were down and her poppa was driving, she was a happy pupper. Although Pumba wasn't able to leave her paw prints across the country like she hoped, she knows her humans will honor her by taking other fur babies to better opportunities.

At Pumba's Paws Pet Transportation, we treat every animal in our care like they are part of our own pack. We offer door-to-door pick-up and drop-off services for moving families and help transfer animals from shelters and rescues. We are always with the animals and we make sure that they are safe and secure in our care.

  1. How are animals transported?

    • Animals are transported in size-appropriate carriers/crates in a climate-comfortable bus.

  2. Is someone always with the animals?

    • Yes. The animals are under 24/7 care and supervision.

  3. Will I receive updates on my animals’ current location, as well as arrival day/time?

    • Yes. You will receive 2 text messages per day (AM/PM) depending on length of travel. We will be in closer contact with you if an issue arises that will delay our arrival day/time.

  4. What do your prices include?

    • Prices include 24/7 care and supervision, door-to-door pick up/delivery, staff trained in animal care, a health log of your pets' trip, text updates.

  5. When is payment due?

    • Payment is due, in full, 48 hours prior to travel date.

  6. What happens if I need to cancel transportation?

    • If you need to cancel your transport reservation, contact us immediately via email at: pumbaspawspettransportation@gmail.com. Cancellations received with 48 hours notice or more of travel date will result in a full refund. Anything under 48 hours will result in a 50% refund.

  7. Why do you require a (refundable) “abandonment fee”?

    • We add this fee in the event that an owner does not take possession of their pet(s) at time of delivery. If we cannot reach you or your secondary contact within an hour of scheduled arrival time, we will consider the pet(s) abandoned.

  8. Are there any requirements for animals to travel?

    • Yes. We require each animal to be up-to-date on their vaccines (Rabies, Bordetella and DHPP). We also require a health certificate be provided. The certificate must be signed by a licensed veterinarian within 10 days of the pets' travel date. Owners will be informed of any further paperwork required by the state you will be relocating to.
